Welcome Dinner Project Area Coordinator  (Volunteer – 8 hrs per week)

Welcome Dinner Project Area Coordinators are responsible for organising a target number of Welcome Dinners (and lunches) in a specific area of the city, including all administration, communication with key community partners, promotions, liaising with facilitators, hosts and participants.

Establishing local coordination teams for the ongoing sustainability of the project is also part of the role. We are looking for friendly, outgoing people, with an ability to communicate effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The ideal candidates will show a high degree of self-motivation, initiative and attention to detail. Evidence of established networks in the local area would be advantageous. Familiarity with Database management, Google and Microsoft applications is necessary.

Full induction, training and ongoing support is offered. Area Coordinators meet together at our office in Newtown occasionally and more regularly via online video conferencing. Travel and phone expenses are reimbursed.
